Bring in 2 or 3 digital files of color images of your choice and your laptop.
Members will be asked to convert the images to monochrome and they will then be reviewed.
The exercise will be carried out in groups.
The theme for the postponed February photo competition is “Silhouette”.

Tutorial on silhouettes
A silhouette is basically an underexposed subject in an image.
A silhouette is basically an underexposed subject in an image.
The subject can be completely black or have some visible detail.
To obtain this, the back lighting needs to be quite strong and the light falling on the subject almost nil.
Remember to have the correct focus on the subject as the outline must be clearly defined.
